Measured in pints per hour, this rates the air conditioner’s dehumidifying capability.

The amount of air that moves past a stationary point in one minute. Measured in cubic feet per minute.

Cooling Capacity
Air conditioner capacities are rated in BTU per hour. This is the measurement used to match your cooling or heating needs with an air conditioner. BTU stands for British Thermal Unit, which is the amount of heat needed to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit.

EER
The Energy Efficiency Ratio measures how efficiently an air conditioner will operate when the outdoor temperature is 95°. The ratio is calculated by dividing the cooling capacity (BTU/h) by the power needed to run the unit (watts). The higher the EER, the more efficient the air conditioner and the less costly it is to operate.
